Today’s ‘Real Life Wedding’ blog is all about Apple and Will who were married with us on the 14th December 2013.
Living in Bristol, Apple and Will arrived the night before their special day along with their family and friends. They enjoyed a lovely evening relaxing before their very special day with a supper served at Peregrine House along with wine and welcome drinks. Guests then stayed overnight in our splendid accommodation at Holly Cottage, Peregrine House and the Old Rectory. The ladies were woken nice and early in Holly Cottage and treated to chef’s lovely fresh warm croissants and English breakfast whilst Will and his party enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast served at Peregrine House. It wasn’t long before Apple and her bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done in the Bride’s changing room.
Meanwhile Will and the groomsmen were busy getting ready in the Lord Audrie Suite- and how smart they looked too!
During the morning Claire, their Front of House Manager was busy meeting suppliers and briefing our super team members on the order of the day. With the flowers by Lisa and the cake delivered by Claire (Bristol), Albert Palmer photography armed with their cameras and then finally the arrival of the Registrars, the day was ready to proceed!
The ceremony was conducted in the lovely church at 1pm with guests witnessing the marriage of Apple and Will. Wedding cars were waiting to take the wedding party to the Orangery for the celebration welcome drinks.
Guests were welcomed into the wedding breakfast which was served at 4.30pm and consisted of a wonderful array of fresh locally produced free range produce that chef created into mouth watering dishes. The wedding breakfast was finished with chef’s delightful plum crumble and ginger ice cream.
The wedding breakfast was drawn to a close after the humourous speeches. After tea and coffee had been served the wedding breakfast was drawn to a close with the announcement that the Cocktail Bar was about to open.
The evening party soon got under way with the ceremony of ‘cutting the cake’ followed by Apple and Will’s first dance and guests partying until late into the evening. At midnight the evening celebrations were drawing to a close and the time came to say goodnight to a wonderful wedding party.
Most guests stayed overnight and enjoyed a famous St Audries full English breakfast the following morning in the Banqueting Hall.
A wonderful couple had the most wonderful wedding and everyone at St Audries Park wish Apple and Will a lifetime of happiness and success. We know we will see them again one day soon!
