On-screen couples who are married in real life

While a lot of couples have to work hard to conjure up chemistry with their co-stars, for others, the magic is there from the start.

In fact, a lot of on-screen couples move things from the fictional world to the real world and end up dating or even marrying their co-stars. Here are some of our favourite on-screen couples who have tied the knot in real life.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher first met on the set of That 70s Show back in the late 90s. At the time, Kutcher was 19 and Mila Kunis just 14. On the show, their characters had an on/off romance. In fact, the first on screen kiss the couple shared was Kunis’ first real life kiss too.

Once That 70s Show came to an end, the two stayed in touch and, many years later, started dating in real life. The couple got married in 2015 and now have two children together.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett

As @cheatsheet says, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett “First met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and today are one of Hollywood’s steadiest high-profile couples.”

By the time Smith and Pinkett played a couple in the 2001 Muhammad Ali biopic Ali, they’d already been married for four years and had two children together.

The couple regularly post photos and videos of family life on social media and seem to be successfully keeping the magic alive after all these years together.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz

Although Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz knew each other at college, it wasn’t until many years later that the two played an onscreen couple in 2011 psychological thriller Dream House. At the time, Weisz was married to Darren Aronofsky and Craig was engaged to Satsuki Mitchell.

The couple soon left their previous partners and embarked on a new life together. Craig and Weisz married in a private ceremony in New York in 2011 and in 2018 announced they were expecting their first child together.

Annette Bening and Warren Beatty

For many years, Warren Beatty was considered Hollywood’s ultimate bachelor. That all changed when, in 1991, he cast Annette Bening as the female lead in his movie Bugsy. Beatty promised he wouldn’t make a move on Bening on set, but asked her out as soon as filming was complete. The couple tied the knot in 1992.

At the time, a lot of people didn’t believe the marriage would last but, almost 30 years later, the couple have four children together and are still going strong.
