Today’s ‘Real Life Wedding’ blog is all about Beth and Richard who were married with us on 24th July 2014.
Living in Exeter, Beth arrived the night before her special day along with her friends to stay overnight in Holly Cottage. They enjoyed a lovely evening relaxing before the very special day ahead. The ladies awoke nice and early in Holly Cottage and were treated to chef’s lovely fresh warm croissants. It wasn’t long before Beth and her bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done in the Bride’s changing room. Meanwhile Richard was making his way to the venue to meet his fabulous groomsmen.
Richard met with his groomsmen and they soon got into the swing of the day- toasting to happy times both past and present!
During the morning, Janette, their Front of House Manager was busy meeting suppliers and briefing our super team members on the order of the day. With the flowers by Pumpkin Pie and the cake delivered by Amy Roche. Mark from Evolve Photography then arrived armed with cameras and lenses. Finally with the arrival of the Registrars, the day was ready to proceed.
The ceremony was conducted in the lovely warm and sunny Orangery at 2pm with guests witnessing the marriage of Beth and Richard. A wonderful confetti line awaited the happy couple as they left the Orangery and a Rose Petal Confetti shower took place. Guests then enjoyed lovely summer welcome drinks consisting of Raspberry Fizz, Bellinis and Orange Juice. The sun behaved and shone for the photographs.
Guests were welcomed into the wedding breakfast which was served at 4.20pm and consisted of a wonderful array of fresh, local, free range produce that chef created into mouth watering Pan Fried Free Range Breast of Chicken on a bed of Ratatouille and Saddle of Lamb with Apricot and Cumin Stuffing.
Following the wedding breakfast there were some very humorous speeches! After tea and coffee had been served the wedding breakfast drew to a close with the announcement that the Cocktail Bar was about to open.
The evening party soon got under way with the ceremony of ‘cutting the cake’ followed by Beth and Richard’s first dance and guests partying until late into the evening. At 9.30pm chef had prepared a wonderful fish and chip supper for all guests to enjoy. At midnight the evening celebrations were drawing to a close and the time came to say goodnight to a wonderful wedding party.
Most guests stayed overnight and enjoyed a famous St Audries full English breakfast the following morning in the Banqueting Hall.
A wonderful couple had the most wonderful wedding and everyone at St Audries Park wishes Beth and Richard a lifetime of happiness and success. We know we will see them again one day soon!
