We attended our son’s wedding to his beautiful wife on Friday 8th April, the venue, including staff, food and accommodation exceeded all our expectations. The staff were polite and nothing was too much trouble, they were especially helpful in assisting myself and another guest who was disabled, making the day even more relaxing and enjoyable. On arrival we were directed to our designated rooms, then received a welcome drink, two containing alcohol one without followed by the taking of photographs. At 2.30pm we were directed to the magnificent Orangery where a buffet miniature cream tea was available with the staff replenishing items as needed.
The wedding breakfast was served at 4.30pm where guests had pre-selected their three course options, each person was able to drink red, white or rose wine, jugs of fruit juice and water were also available, replenishing of glasses as needed.
The evening guests started arriving from 7.00pm, a DJ played a selection of music chosen by the Bride, Groom and guests could also make requests. The buffet in the evening was again pre-selected and gave options for vegetarians too. Any other drinks were available to purchase from well stocked bars.
The day of magic stopped at midnight but we all met again for a buffet breakfast on Saturday morning available between 8.30 and 9.30 all options available, again nothing was too much trouble. We vacated our rooms and left the venue by 10am as requested prior to booking overnight accommodation so that the fairytale wedding could be prepared for the next lucky couple.
My son and daughter-in-law had a magical and perfect day treated like royalty. I would highly recommend this venue as it has all the ingredients for a perfect day, the gardens and grounds are stunning, the interior and exterior are like stepping back in history and the professional wedding planners are guided by the couple to enable them to design their own blue print for their special day within budget. All family and friends attending aged between 6 and 80+ have said what a perfect day it was, please can you pass on our appreciation and thanks to all the team.
