What to expect from the menu planning process

What to expect from the menu planning process.

Whether you’re booking a winter wedding date or tying the knot in the height of summer, what’s on the menu at your wedding is important, and is certain to be a topic of discussion amongst your guests.

Here at St Audries Park, we are proud to offer the full package with all weddings catered by our dedicated, in-house team of chefs and banqueting managers. Our catering team is known and loved for their food, drink and service, ensuring marrying couples have a lot less to worry about when planning their special days. So, what can you expect when planning your menu with us?

Take your pick

We understand that you’ll have a lot to think about when planning and budgeting for your wedding day. That’s why we make our menu planning process as simple and straightforward as possible by offering two options. These are determined by whether you choose to host a Classical or Luxe wedding with us.

Go Classical or Luxe

With our Classical wedding menu, couples get to choose up to four canapes, two starters, two mains, two desserts, and one evening food option. Couples opting for our new Luxe wedding package, get more choice, and are able to pick up to six canapes, two starters, three mains, two desserts, and one evening food option.

Whether going Classical or Luxe, your choice of starters, mains and desserts should include one vegan or vegetarian dish. The menu items also differ between our Classical and Luxe packages. You can view our Classical sample menu and Luxe sample menu for further details.

Add your extras

There are supplements you can choose from when selecting our Classical or new Luxe wedding menu, such as extra courses (including soups and sorbets) and other alternatives.

Your Personal Wedding Manager is here to help plan a menu that suits your unique taste and requirements. As a result, defining these preferences in advance is recommended. Here Brides explains how to do just that:

“Your caterer will want to review your food likes/dislikes (while keeping your guests in mind as well), cuisine preferences, certain dishes that are special to the two of you as a couple, any allergies/dietary restrictions, favourite restaurants, etc. before they share a proposed menu with you for the tasting. Answering these questions will help you hone in on what’s most important to you (food and drink-wise) for the big day.”

Have a taste

While we don’t do food tastings, we do encourage our couples to try our food by attending our Dinner Date evenings for Classical weddings, which run throughout the year. Couples get two tickets included in their wedding package so they can attend a Dinner Date before their wedding to sample the food.

While Luxe couples can attend special Luxe Tasting Evenings. This event offers the perfect opportunity for our couples to familiarise themselves with our lovely venue, incredible staff, and amazing food and drink options. Two tickets are included with your package, and with 50 per cent of the Luxe Menu available to try, it is easy to choose the perfect menu for your wedding breakfast.

While our couples receive tickets to our events, our Dinner Dates and Luxe Tasting Evenings can be a family affair. Additional tickets are available should you wish to bring your in-laws, members of your wedding party or extended family, so you can get different opinions on which dishes would be best served on your special day.
