“As a trusted supplier for St Audries Park, we know the best locations for your wedding photography, here are our must-have photos at one of the best wedding venues in the South West!”

Getting ready photos

Those magical pre-wedding moments are so precious, there is always a mixture of nerves & excitement as the wedding day begins. The exquisite Honeymoon Suite at St Audries Park is a beautiful space for the bridal party to relax whilst being pampered by the wedding hair & make-up team, so you definitely want your wedding photographer to capture these moments. We advise you to have your wedding photographers arrive around 2 hours before you are due to get dressed, that way they can photograph all the important details; your wedding dress hung up, your wedding jewellery & perfume, and of course, the bride and bridesmaids, or wedding party, getting ready or enjoying a glass of bubbles or two! And it’s not just about the ladies, the advantage of having two wedding photographers is that both wedding parties can be captured at the same time. With a choice of 30 Stylish bedrooms, from four poster beds & spa baths, you are guaranteed the perfect getting-ready photos at St Audries Park.

The wedding ceremony

The Victorian Orangery, with a glass roof that lets in incredible natural light, is a perfect setting for your wedding ceremony. You will want a few photos of your wedding guests arriving and the groom waiting for the bride to arrive, always a nerve-wracking wedding moment! The walk down the aisle in the orangery, whether accompanied by your father, mother or other family member, is always a moment of pure joy to capture!

The confetti exit

We absolutely love the confetti exit shots from the ceremony, you did it, you got married!! The joy as your wedding guests shower you with confetti, the smiles on your faces, such a beautiful moment on your wedding day! You can choose to have your wedding confetti exit outside in the stunning grounds at this iconic wedding venue, or if you have biodegradable confetti you can have the most epic confetti photos on the grand staircase in the Great Hall at St Audries Park or during your recessional.

Family wedding photos

If, like most of our couples, you have chosen a documentary-style wedding photographer or you want mainly candid wedding photos, trust us when we say you will want a few specific group shots taken on your wedding day. From your close family members to your wedding party, these will be some of your most precious wedding photos. We always advise having a few family wedding photos taken in the beautiful Victorian Orangery, think of wedding photos with your parents, grandparents or siblings. A big group photo of all your wedding guests is always fun to get! Your wedding photographer will advise you on the best location to take this depending on the number of wedding guests you are having and of course, taking into consideration the good old British weather. We love taking the big group shot outside the orangery or in front of the Manor house at St Audries Park, and the great thing about this perfect wedding venue is you have the space inside for photos should there be heavy rain on your wedding day.

Couple portraits

Ah, your couple portraits, our favourite part of any wedding day! From the grand exterior of the Manor house to the secluded rose garden, there are so many beautiful locations for your perfect wedding photos. If you have opted for an autumn wedding at St Audries Park, the Gothic entrance to the private Manor house will be covered in fiery red autumn leaves, a perfect autumnal backdrop for your wedding photos. Set in 100 acres of scenic deer park and with the rolling Quantock Hills surrounding this romantic wedding venue in Somerset, it is the picture-perfect wedding venue any time of the year if you are dreaming of an English countryside wedding. From the sweeping drive to the grand staircase, the options for wedding photos are limitless. Make sure to schedule time into your wedding day timeline for lots of photos of just the two of you!

The wedding breakfast

The Banqueting Hall at St Audries Park is the perfect space for a fine-dining experience. You want to make sure your wedding photographers capture all the details for you, from the table settings to your wedding favours and centrepieces. We love the fact your Personal Wedding Manager at St Audries Park takes the time to ask you if you would like to see your wedding breakfast ahead of your guests, and we love seeing your reaction! This is a great opportunity to have a few private moments to enjoy seeing all your hard work and planning in all its glory, it’s always such an emotional moment and we adore photographing it all.

Cake cutting & first dance

You can cut your wedding cake in either the Drawing room that has its own baby grand piano overlooked by the ‘Burst of Angels’ which is a famous ornate ceiling, or the Great Hall with a magical ‘Harry Potter’ feel, whatever you choose, this is always a fun moment to photograph before you head into your first dance as newlyweds. The Great Hall is a spectacular room to have your first dance, with a roaring fire and vaulted ceiling, it’s the perfect setting, and it’s a great idea to ask your wedding photographers to take photos of you dancing the night away from above by going up to the overlooking mezzanine. You can also opt to have your first dance in the disco room. With an adjoining cocktail bar complete with fun neon signs, it’s a great space to dance the night away with all your wedding guests. Whichever location you choose for your evening wedding reception, we know the photos will be magical!
