Supplier Spotlight – Eden Wedding Florist

Based in Taunton, Somerset, Eden Wedding Florist has over 25 years of floristry experience in weddings, but we are far from ‘fuddy- duddy’! A vast amount of our experience comes from decorating St. Audries Park weddings, a home away from home for us! With all that experience and extensive knowledge of this beautiful venue, we can advise you how best to decorate the house to wow your guests, as well as maximize your budget. We are a creative team of keen competitors with RHS Chelsea gold medals to be proud of, and we love nothing more than helping you design your wedding flowers. Whether you are full of ideas or clueless on your blooms, we can create something unique for your wedding day.

Eden Weddings

We are hugely inspired by the seasons and love to include natural textures such as silky smooth Pussy Willow & Catkins in Spring, blowsy scented blooms in Summer, dried leaves, seed heads and berries in Autumn and rich Ever Greens & Cones for Winter. As keen foragers, we incorporate these local materials with the best blooms enabling us to create a wide range of bespoke designs that showcase the season whilst relishing your theme and ideas to the full. Whether you love a classical/glamorous, pretty/romantic or natural/rustic styling, we can do it all!

How Best To Decorate St. Audries Park

The Victorian Orangery is a wonderfully light, blank canvas for the ceremony which looks amazing with the addition of some flowers and foliage. Some couples chose to decorate the ceremony table with a design that can be moved across to the top table in the Banqueting Hall following the ceremony.

Decorating the pillars in the Orangery adds instant drama and glamour and looks amazing for your guests and in your photographs.
For those that wish to go for the full floral impact the addition of a couple pedestal arrangements near the ceremony table are a fabulous option as they too can be reused across in the Main House.

Decorating the Main House
We recommend that you focus your budget on your table decorations. The largest portion of the day will be spent in the Banqueting Hall, with flowers in front of your guests! The Banqueting Hall suits either tall and dramatic arrangements or a lower more intimate styling. If you simply couldn’t choose, then a mixture in complimentary styling of the tall and low arrangements looks amazing too.

A recent style of design we have created for a more relaxed style weddings is decorating the lovely gold chandeliers with vines of foliage which looks amazing!

The other obvious place for flowers in the dining room is the beautiful mantelpiece. We have created a variety of designs from full, tumbling arrangements to simple vases filled with the bridal party bouquets and dressed with a few flowers and candles.

In the Great Hall you really can’t beat decorating that beautifully grand staircase! It always looks dramatic and creates a wonderful place for photographs. For maximum impact, go all out with garlands of flowers on the handrails and cascading floral arrangements on the knolls at the bottom. A budget friendly version is to concentrate on just the stair knolls or maybe even reuse the pedestal arrangements from the ceremony.

We may be biased but fresh flowers look really lovely on the wedding cakes and can range from formal designs to a selection of flower heads and foliage sprigs to place here and there.
